This book is very diverse. On page 7 there is a reference to a multi-racial person being "brown". The mailman is black.

The first illustration appears to show a white dad and black mom but the references to relatives (abuelita, Tio Fernando and Sophiecita) imply a Hispanic culture. All of these references are subtle and not directly addressed. Also, on page 196, "Jane from the feedstore...introduced us to her girlfriend..."
